Meet Dr. Anna Kornbrot

Anna Kornbrot, DMD

Dr. Anna Kornbrot is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and has been in practice in Philadelphia for more than 30 years. She grew up in the Bronx and then Queens, and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Columbia University School of Engineering, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and then a Bachelor of Arts at Columbia College. She was the first woman to graduate from Columbia College.

Dr. Kornbrot completed her dental school education and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Dr. Kornbrot was the first woman to complete the OMFS residency at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kornbrot is a clinical assistant professor of OMFS at Penn Dental School and continues to teach students and residents both at Penn Dental School and at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She has served as president of the alumni association and has received the Alumni Award of Merit from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She has been named a Top Dentist by Philadelphia Magazine every year since 2010.

Dr. Kornbrot is married with two children and two grandchildren.
